Wasps Advert - created 01-12-2008
The Wasps advert was a great project to work on. From the conception of the idea through to the execution of the final edit, it is a great example of what we can create given the budget and time to develop an idea.
After the initial meetings with Edinburgh Rugby’s marketing team we looked into several ideas for advertising campaigns and the one that stuck in our minds was the Edinburgh vs London Wasps match. You can download the first draft of the storyboard from the Edit Archive.
Working with the Golden Lions Parachute Display team to obtain some Wasp point-of-view footage generated a fair bit of interest from the Murrayfield staff on the day of the jump. With Alan Jacobsen’s good-humoured approach to the repetitive process of film-making, we managed to bring out the actor in him. We also gave a standing ovation to the body double performance from SRU’s very own Jock Peggy!
